Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29th 1954 in Kosiusko in the central Mississippi. In  1958  Oprah Winfrey and her grandmother had lived in the countryside of Mississippi. Oprah Winfrey had spent her early years on a farm in rural of Mississippi. In the fall of 1959 Oprah Winfrey had started kindergarten in the town nearby Buffalo Mississippi. Oprah Winfrey's teacher had moved her into the 1st grade because Oprah Winfrey could already write. Oprah Winfrey was sad because she had to live with her mother in Milwaukee because in the 1960's her grandmother had became ill. Oprah Winfrey's grandmother had taught her how to read when she was only three.
